When Bobbi Kristina Brown got into a relationship with the man that her late mother, Whitney Houston, had taken in years ago, people were disgusted and claimed that it was incestuous.

But the pair, who are now reportedly engaged, Krissy has defended their relationship many times before and she chose to emphasize the fact that they are not siblings in a recent episode of her family’s new reality show, “The Houstons: On Our Own.”

After revealing that she and Gordon were classmates before he was adopted at the age of 12, Krissy said:

“We were best friends… a long time ago, and now, I’m in love with him.”

She added:

“It was never anything… People were saying ‘it’s incest’… none of that. You guys can take my word for it.”

Gordon also spoke on the matter, saying:

“I was never adopted. I’m not her blood brother.”

He was later seen telling the Houstons:

“Everyone gets it wrong, I was never officially… it’s not incest.”

Do you think her family members will finally approve of their relationship?
