Lindsay Lohan is back – and she means business.
Days after completing her court-ordered, three-month rehab stint, the actress made the first stop in her career comeback tour – recording her guest-hosting gig on E!’s late-night talker Chelsea Lately, which will air Monday.
Taking over for the show’s host, Chelsea Handler, Lohan reportedly sailed smoothly through the opening monologue, even mocking herself by saying she just got back from a “90-day court ordered vacation.”
During the roundtable – with comedians Brad Wollack, Jen Kirkman and Fortune Feimster – Lohan poked fun at One Direction singer Harry Styles for an interview he recently did with British GQ.
“He was questioned by the interviewer about rumors that he is bisexual with a D.J. named Nick. I’ve been there,” she joked, alluding to her tabloid-sensationalized romance with D.J. Samantha Ronson, sending the studio audience into applause and roars of laugher.
“Harry answered, ‘We’re just friends,'” she continued. “When asked how many people he’s slept with, Harry said, ‘Yes, lower than 50. You’re cornering me. I’ve only ever had sex with two people.’ Yeah, he’s never had hung out with The Wanted and he’s obviously not counting oral. Sorry, Harry!”
Chelsea Lately is just Lohan’s first effort to relaunch her career after a few trouble years. Her new film, the Paul Schrader-directed indie drama The Canyons co-starring adult film actor James Deen, opens on Friday (on iTunes and video on demand).
Then Lohan will also sit down for her first post-rehab interview with Oprah Winfrey, set to tape and air on Aug. 18. Following the one-on-one, Winfrey’s network, OWN, will produce an eight-episode docu-series following Lohan as she works to rebuild her post-rehab career. The series will premiere in 2014.
