In May this year, Manchester United were rocked by the news that legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson was set to retire after over a quarter of a century in charge of the famous club.

Having won 38 trophies during his reign at Old Trafford, including the Premier League title 13 times and the Champions League twice, Ferguson was United’s most successful manager of all time.

Once the dust had settled following his blockbuster announcement, the time came to search for a successor, and that man was David Moyes, the former Everton boss hand-picked by Ferguson himself.

On July 1, Moyes officially started work at United, though not everything has gone according to plan since replacing the largely irreplaceable Ferguson.

Certain troubles have been encountered in this highly-transitional period, and it has taken Moyes a while to bed in at the club – though he enjoyed his first real successes recently by guiding United into the latter stages of the Champions League and Capital One Cup.

Here, we take a look at 10 Incredible Stats You Won’t Believe From The Moyes Era.
