The guys from Coldplay are in good company in the upcoming soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
On Thursday, Republic Records released the official tracklist for the album, hours after Christina Aguilera confirmed to her 9.4 million Twitter fans her contribution, “We Remain.”
Love the underlying message of @TheHungerGames. “We Remain” is special new song, its message to my fans & how I connect w/ the movie, alike.
– Christina Aguilera (@xtina) September 25, 2013
Rolling Stone has a 90-second clip of the pop ballad. (Lyrics for the song are now on Directlyrics.)
As RS points out, all but one artist have submitted original music to the soundtrack. (I am so looking forward to hearing the tunes from The Weeknd, Patti Smith and Santigold).
Lorde, the 16-year-old who has been taking over Miley Cyrus and the world with “Royals,” does a cover of Tears for Fears‘ “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” on the Catching Fire album.
